Light Comes In, the Lights Turn Off takes place in the near-future, observing the day of a middle-aged man who lives alone with artificial intelligence that manages his household. Through this AI, which not only takes on the domestic labor but also the emotional care, Yee interrogates how technology that we deem as progressive could remain bound to the reproduction and systemization of gender roles.

〈빛이 들어오고 불이 꺼진다〉(2025)는 근미래의 시간 속, 오랫동안 혼자 지내온 중년 남성과 집안을 관리하는 인공지능의 어느 하루를 들여다본다. 가사노동을 전담하는 것을 넘어, 독거남성의 정서적 돌봄까지 도맡는 인공지능을 통해 우리가 진보적이라 믿는 기술이 여전히 성역할을 어떻게 재현하고 시스템화하는지 탐색한다.
