단채널 4K 영상, 컬러, 사운드, 19분 31초, 2025〈빛이 들어오고 불이 꺼진다〉(2025)는 근미래의 시간 속, 오랫동안 혼자 지내온 중년 남성과 집안을 관리하는 인공지능의 어느 하루를 들여다본다. 가사노동을 전담하는 것을 넘어, 독거남성의 정서적 돌봄까지 도맡는 인공지능을 통해 우리가 진보적이라 믿는 기술이 여전히 성역할을 어떻게 재현하고 시스템화하는지 탐색한다.

This is a record of the 49 days of the living, dedicated to the deceased. In Buddhism, when someone dies, their soul is believed to be held for 49 days between death and rebirth. 	A summer like that would never happen again

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; I would arrive home after climbing a steep hill with a backpack on my back, sweating profusely. When I returned from school, my grandmother always prepared refreshing slices of watermelon. She adjusted the fan to blow on me, and she gave me small, beautifully ripe pieces of watermelon. The summer air, filled with the noisy cicadas, was hot, but occasionally, when I opened the window, a cool breeze would blow in.

	Alexa, they are the women I grew up with
Three-channel video installation with smart home, 
video duration 16’37”, 2022(re-edited as a single-channel video in 2025)

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; To replace the absence of women in the home, artificially intelligent appliances with female voices are now pampering the domestic environment. Domestic technologies designed to assist with household chores perpetuate traditional gender roles, reflecting societal expectations of nurturing and caregiving roles. Through personal narratives and observations, it becomes evident that AI—far from neutral—mirrors and amplifies biases.

Alexa, Sing Me a Song
Single channel video, 15’24”, 2021
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; The girl who lives with Amazon's AI voice assistant as a friend tries to share memories and experiences with Alexa, but she couldn't form a genuine communication with the artificial intelligence system. This raises the question of how to build a relationship with AI that has learned biases, and the importance of communication as a fundamental way to meet emotional needs and human connections.

My dad said, “your generation has everything, why is everyone struggling?” The generations now live in affluent and, at the same time, poor environments. Then what should I do? I live day by day with the fear of the future, but that won’t change. Quarantine routine

Quarantine Routine is one of the daily diaries from when I was stuck in my room during the COVID time. It makes me think and rest enough, but there is missing something. No matter how the internet makes us connect, and brings us together, we still can’t experience the world when we were isolated in a room with limited experiences and information, we should consider what we can do.
